IN THE HEART OF DENMARK
Højgård Nursery is located right in the heart of Jutland – close to the Limfjord, which provides a mild climate for our plant production indoors:
– Forestplants
– Conifers
– Youngplants for Christmastrees
– Organic Abies nordmanniana, youngplants
– Roses
– Stocks
– Christmastrees
Our soil is sandy loam and very suitable for seedling production. Since 1979, we have produced plants and today have plants of about 200 hectares with an annual production of about 25 million plants. With our modern cold stores, we can handle a winter storage of about 5,000 m2 / 10,000 pallets of plants.
Our plant production is based on the help of modern machinery, including GPS control for the past 15 years.
We are constantly trying to stay ahead of the challenges of protecting our environment. For several years, we have gas-burned the soil before sowing – but the latest investment in a giant steam engine seems to have a good effect on the weeds – and thus begins our phase-out of the use of chemical plant protection for soil disinfection.
Højgård Nursery is GlobalG.A.P. Certified. This certification covers the entire production process and ensures our customers a documented sustainable production of our plants.

- Et træ optager CO2 når det vokser. Ved at plante træer kan man derfor være med til at bremse klimaændringerne. Jo flere træer der findes på jorden, jo mere CO2 bliver der bundet.
- Plantning og beskyttelse af skov er en afgørende del af kampen mod global opvarmning – og dermed sagt: En større del af landområderne skal bruges til skov!

IPM ESSEN MESSEN - JANUARY
Every year you can find us at IPM in Germany.
The fair is the largest and only trade fair of its kind that covers everything within plants – including production, technology, flower arranging, the garden and sales outlets.
No other fair offers visitors such a comprehensive overview of the market and with so many new products – here are exhibitors and visitors from all over the world!
This is where experts from all over the world meet – and it is here that we meet our customers and present a wide range of our production of rootstocks and roses as well as small plants for Christmas trees, deciduous trees and conifers

LANGESO CHRISTMASTREE FAIR - AUGUST
Every year in August we go to the Christmastree fair at Fyn… To the beautiful surroundings around Langesø Gods. The Langesø Fair is Europe’s largest special fair in Christmas trees, ornamental greenery and forestry.
This is where the professional producers, traders and others interested in Christmas trees, ornamental greenery and forestry.
Here is the opportunity to meet exciting professionals, and the fair also offers at various championships and the selection of “Denmark’s most beautiful Christmas trees” and in the lecture tent the topics are professional – You find us at stand no. 21
InterNAT. Weihnachtsbaumbörse - SEPTEMBER
Internationale Weihnachtsbaumbörse (IWBB)
is a trade fair for the production of Christmas trees.
Here you will find everything that has to do with Christmas trees. The fair usually takes place every year on the second Saturday in September and alternates between placements In northern or southern Germany.
The exhibitors at the fair are a number of German and international professionals and there is often the opportunity to hear lectures.
